2010-2011 Annual Accreditation Fee

Your 2010/11 accreditation fees were due July 31, 2010. As you may know, we send the invoices in the spring of each year for the upcoming year’s fees. This timing gives you flexibility with regard to the budget year of payment and assists with planning expenses for the coming year.

Your accreditation fees enable your NCA CASI/SACS CASI offices to provide you with local support for accreditation as well as international leadership and representation through AdvancED. Specifically, your fees help pay the costs associated with on-site external review visits, customized technical assistance, web-based reporting, professional development, publications, and tools that support you in your efforts to continuously improve.

If you have already submitted payment, please disregard this message. If not, please promptly pay your accreditation fee so that you can maintain your current accreditation status.

Transparency Policy Update

While the AdvancED policy has not changed, the practice we use to make reports available to the public has changed. Effective immediately, Quality Assurance Review (QAR) reports and other reports will not be automatically posted to the AdvancED Web site. When someone (e.g. stakeholder, prospective parent) requests a report through AdvancED, we will ask the person to contact your institution directly. AdvancED schools are expected to honor the transparency policy by providing a copy of the QAR report as requested. Should our offices be informed of any refusals to provide reports, AdvancED will contact the school to further explain the policies. If refusals to provide reports continue, AdvancED will provide online, public access to the school reports. Your school can request that AdvancED post your reports prior to requests from the public. If you would like to have your reports available online, please submit a formal request to the International Services Office. We appreciate your support of this policy and efforts to keep the public informed of your commitment to operational and student excellence.

Self-Assessment and Executive Institutional Summary

Schools are now completing the Self-Assessment (SA) and the Executive Institutional Summary (EIS) instead of the former Standards Assessment Report (SAR). The Self-Assessment is based on the seven AdvancED standards, which serve as the foundation of the AdvancED accreditation process. Both reports are web-based and must be completed in the AdvancED Management System and serve as the primary resource for the QAR team. You will continue to access the school reports, and the QAR report, by logging in to the AdvancED Management System. The reports are to be submitted four weeks prior to the QAR visit.

AdvancED Launches New Web Site

AdvancED has launched a new Web site – www.advanc-ed.org - with a fresh look and refined navigation!   We’ve included new sections on School Improvement and Issues in Education, and added more news items. Please note that you will continue to login with your e- mail address and password to access your AdvancED profile and school database.

Also, as part of the AdvancED Web site redesign, we have moved all Accreditation Resources and Tools to a single, convenient location.  These resources will only be available to institutions involved in AdvancED Accreditation.  Many of the tools and resources have been updated and new ones have been added.  Because these resources have been placed in a repository created only for schools involved in the accreditation process, please contact our office for the location of these items.

Keeping Us Informed

Please update your school’s demographic information as often as changes occur (i.e. primary contact, phone, email).  The majority of correspondence with schools is done via e-mail.  Therefore, current email addresses are required in order to stay informed of changes and/or updates in the accreditation process, register for professional development, and receive other news of interest, including scheduling your Quality Assurance Review (QAR) visit, and receiving your annual invoices.

  • Log-in to the AdvancED Web site at www.advanc-ed.org
  • Mouse over Accreditation in the top bar and click on Demographics Update.
  • Explore to find additional useful information and resources.

If you have not set up a profile, you will need to do so to access your school database.  Click on Not registered yet? Register here to set up a profile.  When you set up the profile, you will need to input your school accreditation access code.  If you do not know the accreditation access code, contact us at international-school-services-info@advanc-ed.org.
