April 23, 2009 Workshop Details

What Does it Mean to Become Green Advantage Certified?
  • The Green Advantage® training course prepares individuals for the Green Advantage® Commercial Exam. Practitioners who pass the Exam become Green Advantage® Certified for a three-year period.
  • LEED® projects that include a percentage of Green Advantage® Certified contractors on the building team qualify for a LEED® innovation credit toward their overall LEED® building rating score.
  • Become a valuable contributor to building green buildings that are environmentally responsible and sustainable – resource efficient and cost effective!
  • Green Advantage® Certified practitioners can use the Green Advantage® logo on their marketing materials and their names and contact information will be listed on the Green Advantage® website.
The Training and Exam Process

The training consists of one full day training program with two highly experienced trainers—one representing the construction/contracting perspective, the other representing the architecture/design perspective. You will engage in a range of interactive activities and discussions that address practice and theory. The course addresses the roles and responsibilities of the contractor throughout the building process.

You will receive training materials that you may use for the written (multiple choice) OPEN BOOK Certification Exam that is given one week following the exam.

The cost to attend the workshop is $450 and includes the certification exam.

Green Advantage® is not affiliated with any LEED® products or trainings. Those interested in LEED® accreditation or training should look for classes that are specifically sanctioned by the USGBC as LEED®.
